Windows Phone displays search results in Maps with pushpins But you can also stick your own pushpin on the map. Why do that? If you want to get directions to some place but don’t know the exact address, find it on the map and then stick a pushpin there. Pushpins can also help you remember a place you want to visit or be used to share a meeting place with friends.

1. Drop a Pushpin

  1. In Maps, flick to the spot where you want to add a pushpin. Press and hold your finger at the location until the pushpin appears.

  2. Tap the pushpin to get directions to that location or to share it with someone.

2. Clear Pushpins

  1. In Maps, tap More.

  2. Tap Clear Map.
